As a film and TV Sound Editor I enjoy working with actors and directors as much as sound. To me, creativity is as important as technology. I care about communicating the story as much as delivering the soundtrack.
Immersing myself in each project, I contribute ideas and work closely with the team to get the most from the dialogue. Directors enjoy working with me because I always use ADR to its fullest potential, adding new lines or extra nuances that lead to a more interesting outcome.
Feature film directors I've worked with include Anton Corbin, Terry Gilliam and Roger Michell. I've recently completed the soundtrack of StreetDance 2, following my work on StreetDance, the top-grossing UK independent film of 2010.
My freelance TV projects include Life's Too Short, directed by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. As a staff member at Art4Noise, I worked on 9/11 The Twin Towers, winning a BAFTA TV award for Best Sound -Factual.
I have Protools & Nuendo at my base in Dalston, London or I can use facilities in Soho. I'm available to work anywhere in the world.
As for my qualifications, I have an MA in Sound Design from the National Film and Television School and two nominations for Sound at the TV Emmy awards.
My work on Moonshot (Dangerous Films Ltd) gained a 2010 Emmy nomination in the category 'Outstanding Sound Editing for a Mini-series, Movie or Special'. I turned up at the ceremony in LA but was pipped at the post by 'Pacific', created by a certain Mr. Spielberg.
“Adèle is a hard-working, talented and conscientious dialogue editor, who has worked with us at Art4noise as both staff and freelance editor. Her contribution to our award winning films and TV shows has been invaluable. ”
